A Welsh language BBC Wales documentary will focus on an artist whose work was overshadowed by that of her husband, the poet RS Thomas.

O Flaen dy Lygaid also features calls by the couple's son, Gwydion to bring one of her greatest works back to Wales.

In a rare interview he gives a personal insight into this extraordinary creative partnership.

Mildred Elsie Eldridge known as Elsi Eldridge, (1 August – 10 March ) was a British artist, mural painter and book illustrator.

In her autobiography she says of this time: A free studentship in took me to the RCA which in those days was attached to the Victoria and Albert Museum.

Elsi's son, Gwydion Thomas, was a child when the panels were being painted (see the boy with the monkey above).
