Let me tell you my story…

I was born in Ayrshire in Scotland in the year 1759.We weren’t a grand family – we were farmers, and my father built our wee house with his own hands.

This is a modern and light hearted look at the life and works of Robert Burns; poems explained; myths busted; songs sung and stories told.

He taught me to read and write… and to think for myself!

I was sent off to school sometimes, when we could afford it. But mostly I grew up helping with work on the farm. And it was often when I was working, that I composed my poems.
