మొదటి భాస్కరుడు సా.శ. 7వ శతాబ్దికి చెందిన భారతీయ గణితవేత్త. శూన్య విలువని సూచించడానికి "0"అనే గుర్తుని మొట్టమొదటగా వాడినవాడు, మొదటి భాస్కరుడు.[1] ఆర్యభటీయంపైన రాసిన భాష్యంలో, సైన్ సంబంధానికి చేసిన ఉజ్జాయింపులు అద్వితీయమైనవి.
ఈ ఆర్యభటీయభాష్యం సా.శ. 629లో సంకలితమైంది. ఇది సంస్కృతభాషలోని గణిత, ఖగోళ, జ్యోతిషాలకి సంబంధించి, అత్యంత ప్రాచీనమైన వచనగ్రంథం.
The extant Telugu literature may be said to begin with Nannaya Bhattu,f a Vaidika brahman of the Mudgala-gotra, who was a poet at the court of the Chalukya.
